Intake/ TLAP Process

When you reach out to TLAP, you will be connected with our friendly and knowledgeable professional support staff. All of our staff are trained Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) Gatekeepers and are prepared to assist you in setting up an intake interview with TLAP’s professional clinical staff. TLAP’s clinical staff are qualified to discuss your concerns in depth during a clinical intake interview.

TLAP’s clinical staff conducts a clinical intake interview with everyone who seeks services at TLAP. This clinical intake interview process provides the clinical staff with a chance to meet clients where they are, listen to their concerns, and discuss the contours and nuances of their case. The interview process also allows clinical staff to determine if there is a current clinical situation, and if so, how to best move forward in the diagnostic process.

After completing the clinical intake interview, cases will be staffed for clinically appropriate recommendations by the clinical staff at TLAP. Clients will then be notified of the recommendations and how TLAP can best support clients following these recommendations.

Clinical recommendations range depending on a client’s presenting concerns. TLAP may have no recommendations if there is no current clinical situation. TLAP may provide psychoeducation and other reading materials, provide psychotherapy referrals, or recommend medication consultations with psychiatrists. TLAP may also recommend different levels of diagnostics and testing or recommend various levels of outpatient or inpatient treatment. All clinical recommendations are indicated on a case-by-case basis.

TLAP strives to assist legal professionals in accessing gold standard treatment and the top levels of care to address the many mental health concerns faced when working in the legal field.
